Certified Reliability Professional (CRP) Program

Course Requirement Guidelines (15 Points):
15 of the 35 CRP credits that are required for certification must be earned through completion of eligible training courses. The CRP Course Credit table itemizes eligible courses and their CRP credit values.

In order to assure that all Certified Reliability Professionals possess the minimum required skills for performing reliability-related work, the following core curriculum is required.

CRP Core Curriculum
* RS 401: Reliability and Life Data Analysis (MSMT Session 1) - 4 credits
* RS 402: Introduction to Accelerated Life Testing Analysis (MSMT Session 2) - 2 credits
     OR
RS 521:
Advanced Accelerated Life Testing Analysis
- 3 credits
* RS 403: Introduction to System Reliability/Maintainability Analysis (MSMT Session 3) - 2 credits
     OR
RS 522: Advanced System Reliability/Maintainability Analysis
- 3 credits
* RS 470: Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis  - 3 credits
     OR
RS 480: RCM Principles and Applications
- 3 credits
* For participants who are interested primarily in a maintenance focus, RS 540: Advanced Reliability Analysis for Repairable Systems (6 credits) may be substituted for the MSMT Foundations courses (RS 401, RS 402, RS 403).

Participants may then select additional courses from the CRP Course Credit table in order to complete the 15 credit requirement. If you are interested in focusing on Reliability in Design, we recommend that you select from the following courses.

Courses Recommended for Focus on Reliability in Design
* RS 560: Fundamentals of Design for Reliability  - 3 credits
* RS 511: Application of Reliability Growth Models in Developmental Testing and Fielded Systems  - 3 credits
* RS 521: Advanced Accelerated Life Testing Analysis  - 3 credits
* RS 588: Experiment Design and Analysis  - 3 credits
* RS 523: Application of Fault Trees in Reliability, Maintainability and Risk Analysis  - 3 credits

If you are interested in focusing on Reliability in Maintenance, we recommend that you complete the requirement by selecting from the following courses.

Courses Recommended for Focus on Reliability in Maintenance
* RS 522: Advanced System Reliability/Maintainability Analysis  - 3 credits
* RS 480: RCM Principles and Applications  - 3 credits
* RS 511: Application of Reliability Growth Models in Developmental Testing and Fielded Systems  - 3 credits
* RS 588: Experiment Design and Analysis  - 3 credits
